How to use the U.S. Silver Dime Melt Value Calculator.
First decide what method you will be using to indicate the amount of U.S. 90% silver dimes to calculate. You can enter your amounts either by the total quantity of silver dimes, the total face value of your silver dimes, or by the total weight of your U.S. 90% silver dime collection. You could also use a combination of methods depending on how your dimes are stored.
The first three options are for entering an exact count of U.S. 90% silver dimes. This option is nice if you like to store your 90% dimes in rolls or coin tubes. If you received your silver dimes already rolled, then be sure to inspect them to determine that they are all of the 90% silver variety. If not, then your calculation will be inaccurate. This calculator is only designed for measuring the silver melt value of U.S. 90% silver dimes minted from 1892-1964.

If your dimes have some wear from being circulated, they will not consist of as much silver. You might want to include a percentage of that wear in the "Amount of Wear" text box.
