ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2 introduces new features for data management and administration, updates across applications, and enhanced functionality throughout the product. This page highlights some of the new features available at 11.2 and includes links to additional information for specific components and functionality.

Product highlights
- ArcGIS Video Server is a new server role in ArcGIS Enterprise that is used to index, search, discover, and publish video services with geospatial and temporal context.
- Install up to 51 instances of ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) on a single machine.

User type extensions
The ArcGIS Advanced Editing user type extension is new at 11.2 and provides access to advanced geodatabase functionality and frameworks. This user type extension replaces the ArcGIS Utility Network, ArcGIS Parcel Fabric, and ArcGIS Trace Network user type extensions that were licensed at previous releases.
Schedule geoprocessing tasks
You can now use the Create task operation in the ArcGIS Portal Directory REST API to schedule geoprocessing services.

Details about beta features in this release are provided.
Consume new field data types
Four newly supported field data types are available as a beta feature in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2. When published to or consumed in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2, these field data types may not be feature complete and may have known performance or quality issues:
- Big integer
Caution:
Some client applications may not fully support this field type and are subject to change. Object ID (64 bit) and big integer (64 bit) field types in ArcGIS Pro are limited to storing values up to 53-bit safe integers. 53-bit safe integer values support a range between (-9007199254740991) and (9007199254740991), which is also written as -(253) -1 and (2 53) -1. Values larger than 53 bits in object ID (64 bit) and big integer fields added from external sources can be read from the ArcGIS Pro client. Attempting to write or edit numbers outside this range in ArcGIS Pro will generate an error. In other clients, the value may be rounded and result in broken functionality.

To receive limited assistance with these features in ArcGIS Enterprise, and to leave feedback on their functionality, refer to their dedicated Esri Early Adopter Community (EAP) site. While in ArcGIS Enterprise beta, these features will not be supported by Esri Technical Support.
Upload 3D models in web scenes
Uploading 3D models in web scenes is available as a beta feature in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2. Once a 3D model is uploaded, it can be resized, rotated, and placed anywhere in the scene. The following 3D model formats are supported:
- COLLADA (.dae)
- Autodesk Filmbox (.fbx)
- Autodesk Drawing (.dwg)
- Industry Foundation Classes (.ifc)
- Universal Scene Description (.usdc and .usdz)
- Wavefront (.obj)
- GL Transmission Format (.gltf)
- Binary GL Transmission Format (.glb)

One-way feature service-to-feature service synchronization
Feature services support one-way feature service-to-feature service synchronization as a beta feature in this release. To learn more, see the workflow for using one-way sync in the ArcGIS REST API documentation.
Metadata editor
A new metadata editor is available as a beta feature in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2. If organization administrators enable the beta metadata editor, an option is added to the Metadata button that allows members to edit an item's metadata in the metadata editor.

ArcGIS Knowledge Studio
Available as a beta feature in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2, ArcGIS Knowledge Studio is a web app for exploring and analyzing knowledge graph data. Knowledge Studio can be opened from the app launcher in your portal.

ArcGIS StoryMaps briefings
ArcGIS StoryMaps briefings are available as a beta feature in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2. Briefings offer a slide-based output with securely integrated live maps and data from your organization. To access briefings, users must enable beta features in their ArcGIS StoryMaps organization settings.
To receive assistance with briefings in ArcGIS Enterprise, and to leave feedback on their functionality, refer to the ArcGIS StoryMaps Esri Community or use the in-app feedback form. While in ArcGIS Enterprise beta, briefings will not be supported by Esri Technical Support.
