Caverns - Divinity: Original Sin II Guide - IGN (2024)

The Caverns are an area in Divinity: Original Sin 2.

This area is accessed in Fort Joy. It's towards the back of the fort.

Local Info

In the back of the caverns, where the sun is beaming down on some sand, you can discover an ancient stone hatch that will lead to the Forgotten Cell.

There is also an area in the caverns blocked off by barrels and barricades. By moving them and destroying the barricades you can access this back area. It's filled with poison, which can be cleared using Fire or Water spells. Deeper in, you will come under attack by three level 3 frogs. They use poison damage mostly, so undead party members will have it easy here. Kill them and you can loot the area. After killing them, return to Rulah and she thanks you for protecting them.

If you speak to the small boy in the cave he will ask to play hide and seek. Do it once, then a second time. The second time he goes invisible, but he always hides in the same spot, right in the sand where the sunlight is beaming in. It's the same spot where the Withermoore's Soul Jar quest hatch is found.

Quests

You can begin the following quests in this area:
