How much is the application fee at IUIU? ›

Each applicant will pay a non-refundable fee of Ug. Shs. 200,000/= (Two Hundred Thousand Shillings Only to Islamic University in Uganda Accounts namely; Tropical Bank Account number 0010002303 or Stanbic Bank, Mbale Branch Account Number 9030005739046, or DFCU Bank Account Number 01983521000021 IUIU Main Campus Branch.

Eligible applicants MUST be 22 years and above by the date of the Aptitude test and candidates will be required to show proof of age based on valid documents like a Birth Certificate, Passport, National Identity Card etc.

Programme duration

The IUIU MBChB programme will be on a full–time basis and will last a minimum of Five (5) academic years and NOT more than seven (7) academic years. Each academic year will consist of two 17-week semesters and one 10-week recess semester (includes 2 weeks for examinations) except for the final year.

Students are considered mature if they are aged 21 or over on entry to their course. This language can often be confusing as it makes mature students sound like something unusual – believe us, they're not. Lots of people choose to come to university for the first time later in life.

To be eligible for the Mature Age entry examinations, the candidate must be at least 25 years old during the year of application. Application forms for those intending to sit the examinations are issued at the university, Room 505, Senate building on payment of non-refundable application fees of shs.

Application fees

International students have a non-refundable application fee of $65. Students who will study at the U on a visa are not eligible for need-based fee waivers. Applications are not complete until the application fee has been paid. Fees must be paid online within the application.
